Kathy’s greatest pleasures since joining Dr. John’s dental family in 1997 are welcoming you when you call on the telephone, greeting you when you come into the office, and being able to get answers to your questions.
Kathy is the proud mom of two sons and two beautiful daughters-in-law, and now grand children! She is married to her best friend, George. Together they truly enjoy the beauty of the seasons by walking, canoeing, swimming, and golfing.
Prior to joining our family in 1995, Peggy was employed at a local Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery office for seven years. She brought with her invaluable experience and knowledge.
Peggy now is responsible for all the business functions of our office and especially enjoys getting to know you and assisting you in making your dental treatment more affordable. In her spare time, Peggy enjoys ceramics, gardening, skiing and traveling with her husband. Peggy and her husband reside in Kingsford with their pampered and spoiled-rotten cat, Nicky.
Paula has been a member of our dental family since 1987. During her years of employment, she has become a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), the highest accomplishment awarded to dental assistants.
She enjoys making people feel comfortable in a sometimes uncomfortable setting.
Paula and her husband Gary reside in Iron Mountain with their two boys, Ryan and Anthony. One of her favorite pastimes is spending time with her family.
Mandy joined the Fornetti Dental Family in 2006. Originally from Manistique, Michigan, Mandy and her husband, Greg, moved to Iron Mountain with their two dogs, Lexi and Tanner.
Ewa (pronounced Eva) became a part of our dental family in 2004. In 1991, she came to the United States from Poland (which you will easily notice the minute she starts speaking) .
Ewa has completed her dental hygiene education at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where she practiced for three years. In 2004, she and her husband Wesley moved to Florence to pursue their dream of a more peaceful and simple life.
Apart from being a dental hygienist, which is Ewa’s biggest passion, she enjoys fishing, taking long walks with her dog or simply just admiring the beauty and solitude of our Upper Peninsula.
Joanne Larsen is originally from Menominee, Michigan and joined Dr. John’s team in 1986. After graduating from Ferris State College as a dental hygienist she continued her education in the Allied Health field. One of the things Joanne enjoys most is helping you keep your smile white and bright.
As a mother of two daughters, Karen and Leah, and a son, Andrew, she enjoys camping, biking, and cross country skiing with her husband, Mark.
Karen joined Dr. John’s dental family in the fall of 2009. She takes great pleasure in meeting our guests needs, and enjoys the opportunity to make even the youngest of guests feel comfortable.
Karen is also a potter who enjoys participating in Art Works Gallery, working with the youth at North Dickinson School, playing volleyball and anything that involves family and friends.
Arttie joined Dr. John’s dental family on April 1st, 2010. Arttie’s most fulfilling work has been in the healthcare field. She enjoys meeting new people and making them feel comfortable.
Arttie’s passions are quilting, sewing and gardening. She loves to travel the Upper Peninsula and spend time outdoors. She also spends as much time with her children as possible.
Although Dr. John began this practice in 1983, his roots had been planted many years earlier. John’s father graduated from dental school in 1944 and returned to Iron Mountain after World War II. There has been a strong family heritage ever since. John has the distinct pleasure of practicing with his brother and, more recently, his nephews.
He has been blessed with a powerful education which has helped him earn numerous diplomate and fellowship distinctions. John belongs to various dental organizations and has the privilege of being affiliated with both of our local hospitals.
After graduating from dental school and returning home with his wife, Terese, they began their family and now have four beautiful children. His favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing and camping.
