Dear Dr. John and Staff:
I have been struggling in my attempt to adequately articulate my gratitude for my most-recent experiences with you. As I’ve already conveyed to many of you, I spent over thirty years of my life believing my smile was as good as it could be, given the crown on my front tooth. It was only after talking with Joanne and Dr. John that I learned that advancements in the field of cosmetic dentistry would enable me to have a more natural appearing crown and a more self assured smile. That work and resulting confidence change became an underlying goal for a number of years, but due primarily to monetary concerns, I chose not to get that work done until just recently. Kathy assured me that I was not just being vain and that even at age 55, cosmetic dental work was an investment in my self-esteem and self-confidence. I appreciated that reinforcement to my own justification.
My visits to your office have always been enjoyable experiences. The caring, yet professional attention given by everyone with whom I come in contact gives me a sense of assurance and confidence in the quality of service I have come to expect from you. I was touched and impressed that Dr. John personally called to see how I was doing after my initial appointment in this new crown process. I was also almost moved to tears that he thought it appropriate to give me a gift because of the need for repeated visits before the final crowns were placed. Although I truly appreciate that thoughtfulness and enjoyed the gift very much, you had already given me a wonderful gift ... the gift of a full and open smile I enjoy sharing. Your dedication to detail and excellence enabled me to once again fully smile, showing off teeth that, as Dr. John said, look like they grew there. That means a great deal to me in both my personal and professional encounters. That was gift enough. The fact that no one was willing to settle for ‘good enough’ or ‘that’s the best we’re going to get’ before the final selection, was a major component of the gift for which I am so grateful. You obviously genuinely care about your patients, and in this impersonal, hurry-up world of ours, that means a lot.
You all contribute to making each and every visit to your office a pleasure. Going to the dental office is not something people generally look forward to doing, but I am pleased to admit that I do look forward to interacting with you at every appointment. You’re all so friendly, thoughtful and caring ... and you make the most delicious apple muffins!
To all of you, for all you do, THANKS!
